Cyril Toulet appointed Head of Corporate Innovation / Guillaume Gelis becomes Regional Manager.

Paris, 8 February 2010 - zanox, a global leader for performance-based online marketing, today announced the appointment of Guillaume Gelis as Regional Manager of zanox France; he succeeds Cyril Toulet, who has been appointed to Head of Corporate Innovation of zanox.

Cyril Toulet, 38, is appointed Head of Corporate Innovation. In this new cross-functional role at the international level, he will define the medium-term strategy for zanox’s product portfolio.
His scope of investigation and action will include the further development of current products and services and extend to new applications (such as the monetization of social networks, mobile applications…). Cyril Toulet remains a member of the Board of Directors of zanox France.

In 2000, Cyril Toulet cofounded First-Coffee with Cyril Lhermine and their company was acquired by zanox in 2005. As an e-marketing expert, he internationalized the company by joining zanox, made it the current number two in the industry, and successfully developed the zanox brand in France. When it was launched, the company ranked 10th in the industry; since then, it has multiplied its revenue by over 250 and increased its staff from two employees to about 60 today. Previously, after graduating from ESSEC Business School in Paris, he worked as export credit analyst for BNP-Paribas and consultant for Stratorg. This Internet fan has proved both a sensible entrepreneur and designer.

Guillaume Gelis, 37, takes the lead of a team of sixty people. As Regional Manager of zanox France, he will be in charge of supervising the overall activities of the French subsidiary, ensuring the achievement of both quantitative and qualitative objectives, and interfacing with zanox corporate headquarters in Berlin.

Guillaume Gelis joined zanox France in June 2004 as Business Developer. He then became VP Operations in October 2007 and Country Manager in January 2009. Previously, after graduating from Marseille Management School in 1994, he was responsible for Sales Forecasts and Reporting at Motorola for 4 years. In 1999 he cofounded CVFM, a Search Engine Marketing (SEM) company, and in 2000, 24PM, one of the first affiliate marketing platforms, where he acted as General manager. As a seasoned e-marketeer as well as SEM, affiliate marketing and e-mailing specialist, Guillaume Gelis has both the profile of a business expert and an entrepreneur/manager.
