zanox expands Code of Conduct with guidelines for advertisers

Revised version takes account of international market feedback

Berlin, 22.9.2009 - Today, zanox published an expanded version of its Code of Conduct for all participants in their global affiliate network. In addition to the section for publishers, the revised and restructured guidelines now also include a chapter specifically for advertisers. This provides advertisers with guidelines that should lead to a more attractive and transparent cooperation with publishers, for instance, with regard to conditions of participation for affiliate programmes, cancellation grounds or the actuality of the offering. The objective of these reforms is to establish symmetry in the quality and transparency demands of both parties and, in doing so, to define ideals for conduct within the partnership. From now on, the zanox Code of Conduct will be regularly expanded. For instance, it is planned to produce guidelines for developers, as well as rules of conduct vis-à-vis consumers.

As a globally-active company, zanox continues to champion the creation of international quality standards for affiliate networks with these revised guidelines. In the company's view, these include youth protection regulations which the zanox Code of Conduct already takes into account, such as the ICRA vocabulary of the Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI). Furthermore, zanox orientates itself by the best practice of advertisers and publishers on the international markets in which the network is active.

In order that the clear guidelines of the Code of Conduct avoid redundancies with the general terms and conditions, the revised version no longer gives special citation of the areas which are already declared impermissible by the company's general terms and conditions. Together with the new split into sections for publishers and advertisers, these improvements result in a clear and meaningful code of conduct for all network participants.
